ABA Bioscience strengthens R&D advisory team with its new addition

The team at ABA Bioscience Consulting (part of the greater ABA Legal Group) has recently welcomed a Senior R&D Tax and Bioscience Corporate Advisory Manager to its team, further building their expertise and credentials in the R&D Tax Incentive & Government Grants space.

Formerly at KPMG, Kymberly Dryden has joined the team from one of the largest R&D Tax and Government Grants Advisory teams in the country.

Kymberly brings an impressive track record to the business, with industry expertise covering the areas of Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Advanced Medical Device Manufacturing and MedTech Software. Her experience also includes assisting clients to navigate the Advance/Overseas Findings Certification process and the implementation of R&D Governance frameworks and reporting systems. Kymberly is the second appointee to join ABA Legal Group from KPMG, with former Director, Renee Levings leading the R&D Tax & Grants Advisory and Bioscience teams.

The recent appointments illustrate the business’ commitment to becoming an industry leader in the Australian innovation landscape, with ABA Bioscience Consulting focused on assisting its clients to take full advantage of the future commercialisation potential and regulatory environment Australia has to offer in the life sciences industry.

“Kymberly’s joining marks a significant chapter for the business as we continue to focus on becoming the advisory partner of choice for innovative Australian businesses and international companies looking to expand their presence and conduct clinical trials and R&D activities in this country,” said Mr Antonopoulos.

“Kymberly’s experience working with some of the most advanced and fastest-growing Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, MedTech Manufacturing and Software businesses in Australia augments the strengths of our existing team led by former KPMG Director, Renee Levings. This appointment further highlights how the shift to a more dispersed workforce, allows a firm of our size located in South East Queensland (Gold Coast and Brisbane) to attract top-tier talent and compete on a national scale.”

For Kymberly, the move is an exciting one in that she is able to provide a more bespoke and agile approach to guiding companies along their innovation journey, from establishment through to claiming the R&D Tax Incentive and commercialisation opportunities.

“My decision to join ABA Legal Group is driven by my desire to deliver tailored specialist consulting services that aligns with industry best practice and assists the type of clients I am passionate about partnering with,” Kymberly said.

“Undeniably, the move to a dispersed workforce model also played a part in this decision, in that it allows staff to work with companies on a global stage and not necessarily situated just in those major capital cities – without taking a backward step career wise. I am looking forward to the next phase of my career as part of the team and am excited about the journey ahead in firmly establishing the business as one of the leading providers that assist clients to establish a presence in Australia and pursue their true business potential in this country.”
